Keith Lang joined the firm after an extensive career in senior retail management. Mr. Lang served as Chairman, President and CEO of a Midwest six-unit department store. Under his leadership Mr. Lang and his team successfully returned the company to profitability.
While serving as the General Manager of an upscale three-unit department store chain, Mr. Lang established a solid growth and market share improvement strategy. Throughout his career, Mr. Lang has facilitated several large acquisitions, including the Dillard Department Stores and the Beall-Ladymon Company. As the Senior Manager, he was involved in the divestiture of a multi-generational business to a similar multi-generational family in a synergistic transaction. During this process, Mr. Lang gained valuable insight while actively involved with the acquisition integration.
Mr. Lang earned his degree in Retail Management from Wayne State University and currently serves on the Knapp Charter School Academy Board of Directors. Previously, he has served on the Grand Rapids Downtown Retail Management Board, the Rotary Club of Grand Rapids, and the Pen Club, as well as Chairman of Celebration on the Grand.
Mr. Lang has traveled extensively in Russia, Romania, Southeast Asia, and China. Although he grew up in southeast Michigan, he and his wife, Barbara, have lived in Arizona and Texas, before relocating to West Michigan where they have resided for the past 17 years. Mr. Lang has two grown children and five grandchildren.
