Phil Biggs, Managing Director

Phil joined NuVescor in April, 2010, and returns to the merger and acquisition space where he began his tenure with Ernst & Young’s Corporate Finance team. 
 
Prior to joining NuVescor, Phil launched a national consulting practice for the  accounting-consulting firm Crowe Horwath. Based out of Oakbrook, Illinois, Phil co-led a team focused on the entire value chain in the automotive space, including OEMs, suppliers, dealers, and private equity firms.
 
From 2006 through 2008, Phil was Executive Vice President with IRN, Inc., where he performed COO duties in finance, human resources, operations, and planning, and led business development and sales initiatives for this 15-person automotive consulting firm.
 
Phil served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Marsh & McLennan in their Grand Rapids office from 2003 through 2006, where he led business development and served as a senior advisor to the Marsh National Automotive industry practice.
 
Prior to Marsh, Phil was with Ernst & Young as Business Development Leader in their Cleveland, Detroit, and Grand Rapids practices from 1995 to 2003. Phil served as a National Member of the Ernst & Young PACE Automotive Team from 1995 to 2002 and worked on the client service teams of numerous public and private companies
 
Before joining Ernst & Young, Phil spent fourteen years with the Dun & Bradstreet Corporation in sales and sales management in their Milwaukee, Detroit and Chicago offices. 
 
Phil is a frequent public speaker and has numerous articles published about global business issues, the changing landscape in the automotive industry, and the future state of public education. He graduated with a BA from Grand Valley State University and holds an MBA in Finance from Central Michigan University. He and his wife Sally and son C.J. live in Cascade Township near Grand Rapids.
